NEW ERA — The next New Era Farmers’ Market is set for Tuesday, July 26, starting at 4 p.m.

The Kids Power of Produce Club (ages 4-14) is scheduled for 4-5 p.m. and will feature an antique toy presentation of what kids used to play with prior to tablets, cell phones and laptops. There will be rock painting and Farmers’ Market Bingo. Each child will receive two market tokens valued at $4 and will be entered into a drawing. Two prizes of a ticket to Michigan Adventure, which is also good at Cedar Point, will be awarded on the stage at 5 p.m. The child must be present to win.

The band, Truck Driver Bingo with Frank Galante, will perform from 5-7 p.m.

Dinner vendors will include The Artisan and Country Dairy from New Era and Pennant Pizza and Wings red food truck from Muskegon.

“The market accepts SNAP, DUFB produce match up to $20, Senior Market Fresh, WIC Project Fresh, Oceana Country Prescriptions for Health and our own SPOP giving seniors 62+ $4 in tokens to spend on produce at the market,” said Market Manager Sandy Whitaker. “Come on out to 1820 Ray Avenue in New Era. We are the market with the block party flair.”
