Break-in reported at cemetery.

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A breaking and entering was reported at the Mears Cemetery Saturday, May 16, at 8:30 p.m., according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

An intruder or intruders pried open a locked door to gain access to a storage building, Sheriff Mast said. They stole an air compressor valued at $80 and two tow ropes used for moving headstones valued at $100 total.

The case is under investigation.
