SHELBY TOWNSHIP – A 41-year-old Muskegon woman received minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash on US 31 near Hayes Road Thursday, Nov. 21, at 7:45 a.m., according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

A 2-year-old boy who was a passenger in the 2014 Hyundai Veloster was uninjured, states the report.

The driver told the investigating deputy that she was driving approximatley 50 mph “due to the wet slippery road surface. She stated she lost control of her vehicle; her vehicle left the roadway right; and struck several small trees.”

The driver was wearing a seat belt, and the child was properly restrained in a car seat.
