HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Christine Ann Crain, 50, of 526 E. Arthur Rd., Rothbury, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 15 to embezzlement of a vulnerable adult $200-$1,000 and was sentenced Oct. 28 to one year suspended jail with credit for one day served; six months probation; must submit to testing, searches and counseling as directed by probation; no alcohol/drugs; $3,400 in restitution; and $1,125 in fines and costs. Charges of embezzlement over $1,000 and and larceny by conversion over $1,000 were dismissed.

Robert Joseph Jeffries, 64, of 457 E. Third St., Pentwater, was found guilty Sept. 4 of solid waste – failure to establish disposal and was sentenced Oct. 22 to 14 days in jail and $410 in fines and costs. “Defendant has 60 days to clean up property or balance of jail time be imposed,” his court file states.

– Tasha Marie Starks, 35, of 2684 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 21 to domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 12 days served; six months probation; and $525 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– James Dean Stanfield, 55, of 1546 N. 84th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 29 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $250 in fines and costs.

– Edwin Armand Moreno-Delgadillo, 19, of 1737 S. Leelanau Circle, New Era, was found guilty Oct. 31 of dog running at large and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs.

– Issa Martha Smith, 29, of 211 Wood St., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 31 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without security was dismissed.

– Rosa Verneros-Armenta, 27, of 2600 W. Beyer Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 31 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Greta Lynn Alsteen, 41, of 5508 Jefferson Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 31 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $340 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed. She can withdraw her plea within 90 days if there are no further problems, her court file states.

– Juan Clemente Quintero, 21, of 1900 Oak Ave., New Era, was found guilty Nov. 1 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. Charges of DWLS and operating without security were dismissed.

– Micah Jean Trevino, 21, of 3895 S. Water Rd., New Era, was found guilty Nov. 1 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to 30 days suspended jail and $400 in fines and costs.

– Robert James Leonard, 51, of 5726 S. Appleton Rd., Scottville, was found guilty Nov. 4 of open intoxicants and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail; and $345 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Edward Michael Cubitt, 19, of 5397 E. Harrison St., Walkerville, was found guilty Nov. 4 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Justin Wayne Camargo, 26, of 780 S. 72nd Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Nov. 4 of dog running at large and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; and $340 in fines and costs.

– Gregory James Melchor, 33, of 578 S. Harvey St., Shelby, was found guilty of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $450 in fines costs. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Elaine Jo Crawford, 25, of 111 S. Peach St., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $340 in fines and costs. Charges of driving while license not valid and operating without insurance were dismissed.

– Larry Allen Puterbaugh, 57, of 671 S. Brooks Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 21 of DWLS and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail and $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Keith Langdon Perry, Jr., 37, of 10608 N. Bingham Ave., Bitely, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 21 of operating without a license and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for two days served and $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Gavin Joseph Krueger-Swanderski, 23, of 6137 N. Wayne Rd., Pentwater, was found guilty Oct. 21 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for 93 days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Amanda Rae McMann, 36, of 32494 Whitetail Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty Oct. 21 of assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 42 days served; one year probation; must submit to testing, searches and counseling as directed by probation; no alcohol/drugs; and $600 in fines and costs. A second count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– James Junior Gibson, 71, of 170 N. Leavitt St., Walkerville, was found guilty Oct. 23 of fishing on a closed stream and snagging fish and was sentenced to 30 days suspended jail; fishing license revoked for two years; and $325 in fines and costs.

– Jonathan David Roman, 17, of 2600 W. Beyer Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 23 of improper license and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Adam Clyde Eschman, 36, of 170 N. Leavitt St., Walkerville, was found guilty Oct. 23 of fishing on a closed stream and snagging fish and was sentenced to fishing license revoked for two years and $325 in fines and costs.

– Jeffrey Ray Smith, 56, of 3205 Brandon Dr., Norton Shores, was found guilty Oct. 23 of DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Lisa Joan Broemer, 56, of 501 Griswold St., Hart, was found guilty Oct. 24 of operating without a license and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $300 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Jaime Gutierrez, 30, of 339 Dewey St., Shelby, was found guilty Oct. 24 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $290 in fines and costs. One of violating a restricted license was dismissed.

– Michael Ralph Arbour, 59, of 5870 E. Minke Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Oct. 24 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Jarid Hunter Billings, 26, of 1321 36th St., SW, Wyoming, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 24 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $305 in fines and costs.

– Jordan Aaron Gonzalez, 22, of 2308 Crozier Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Oct. 24 of using an illegal fishing device and was sentenced to fishing license revoked for two years and $555 in fines and costs.

– Sara Lynn Achterhoff, 24, of 629 Courtland Lane, Muskegon, was found guilty of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 30 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $425 in fines and costs. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– Daniel Kent Huff, 33, of 6455 E. Rossell Lake Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Oct. 25 of recreational trespassing and was sentenced to $475 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– John Russell Robinson, 56, of 4898 S. 180th Ave., one felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed Oct. 22.

– Jason Wayne Cole, 45, of 507 E. Filer St., Ludington, charges of assault and battery and domestic violence were dismissed Oct. 22. The victim does not wish to cooperate with prosecution, his court file states.

– Gregory Scott Anderson, 31, of 8346 Garfield Rd., Hesperia, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Oct. 25. The victim does not wish to cooperate with prosecution, his court file states.

– Amy Louise Jewtt-Coulier, 49, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, charges of larceny $200-$1,000 and malicious destruction of property (MDOP) $200-$1,000 were dismissed Oct. 17. The victim does not wish to cooperate with prosecution, her court file states.

– Dino Allen Salazar, 60, of 7263 Macksam Rd., Hart, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 28. The victim does not wish to cooperate with prosecution, his court file states.

– Joseph E. Brink, 17, of 2805 S. Oceana Dr. Shelby, charges of operating without a license and minor in possession of tobacco were dismissed Oct. 17. “Per parties’ plea agreement, the defendant pleaded guilty to a felony in circuit court in exchange for dismissal of the above charges,” his court file states.

– Augustin Hernandez-Bautista, 35, of 1923 Tyler Rd., Hart, one count of operating without a license was dismissed, Oct. 29. “Defendant’s attorney provided the prosecutor’s office with a valid license issued by Mexico.”

– Sherry Lynn Sparkman, 53, of Hesperia, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Vaibav Bafna, 21, of 105 Griffith Knoll Way, Greer, South Carolina, one count of transporting open intoxicants was dismissed Oct. 30.

– Robert Erie-Lee Bremer, 22, of 13 N. 192nd Ave., Hesperia, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Travis Arden Clements, 37, of 5622 S. Water Rd., New Era, one count of dog running at large was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Carissa Leann Hale, 25, of 9329 E. McKinley Rd., Fremont, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Joseph Kendall Zuber, 27, of 503 S. State St., Hart, one count of assault and battery was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Kristie Mae Harter, 31, of 209 S. Courtland St., Hart, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Gray Sidney Race, 25, of 150 W. Main St., one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 29.

– Tyler James Davis, 19, of 10890 Wildwood Dr., Greenville, Michigan, one count of failure to stop at a property damage accident was dismissed Oct. 28.
