Hesperia hires new high school/middle school principal.

HESPERIA – Raymond “Rocky” Thompson has accepted the position of high school/middle school principal at Hesperia Community Schools.

Thompson, a Hesperia High School graduate and a former teacher in the Hesperia school district, has spent the last 19 years as the middle school principal at Allendale Public Schools, said Superintendent Vaughn White. He has a master’s degree in educational leadership from Grand Valley State University.

Thompson’s annual salary is $85,000.

He replaces David LaPrairie who retired July 1.
