Hart community theater presents ‘The Music Man’

HART — The community theater production of “The Music Man” will be presented on Friday, Aug. 9, Saturday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Hart Public Schools Auditorium, 308 Johnson St.

The production is sponsored by the Hart High School Drama Club and involves community members of all ages.

Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man” is a quintessential American musical comedy, set in 1912 small-town Iowa. The show features a score full of songs that have become American classics and audiences around the world have been spellbound by its side-splitting humor, crazy characters, and winning music as well as its poignant love story between a no-good, traveling, trickster salesman and a stuck-up, no-nonsense, goody-two-shoes librarian. This show is sure to delight kids, teens, parents, and grandparents, alike.
