78th District Court sentencings, May 23, 2019.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Shawn Alan Goerbig, 39, of 922 E. Colby St., Whitehall, pleaded “no contest” May 21 to malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; 93 days discretionary jail; no contact with the victim; $1,063 in restitution; and $100 in fines and costs.

– Brandon Lee Chase, 39, of 2494 Whitetail Dr., Rothbury, pleaded “no contest” May 21 to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $85 in fines and costs. One count of harboring misdemeanants was dismissed.

– Keith Elmer Gager, 36, of 5525 Deer Rd., Walkerville, pleaded “no contest” May 21 to malicious destruction of trees, shrubs, crops, grass, turf, soil less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; $250 in restitution; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of malicious destruction of trees, shrubs, crops, grass, turf, soil $200-$1,000 was dismissed.

– Marcelino Rodriguez, 71, of 7072 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty May 20 of driving while license not valid and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Cameron Scott Golightly, 3527 W. Webster Rd., Montague, was found guilty May 6 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,140 in fines, costs and restitution. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Kelly Lee Bowers, 44, of 2362 W. Cleveland Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty May 20 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; and $1,240 in fines, costs and restitution. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Nicolas Moises Hernandez, 52, of 538 E. Jackson Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 20 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Lonny Dale Hoffman, 41, of 150 N. 192nd Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 20 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of violating a restricted license was dismissed.

– Edwin Armando Moreno-Delgadillo, 19, of 5737 S. Leelanau Circle, was found guilty May 20 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $290 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.

– Patrick Fay George, 30, of 413 Ainsworth Circle, Ypsilanti, was found guilty May 20 of driving while license suspended and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $90 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed.

– Erica Dawn Winters, 21, of 710 E. Main St., Hart, was found guilty May 20 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $325 in fines and costs.

– James Robert Schmitz, 25, of 710 E. Main St., Hart, was found guilty May 20 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail; fishing privileges suspended for one year; and $325 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Shawn Stephen Dayharsh, 45, of 193 First St., Shelby, one count of assault and battery was dismissed May 20.

– Ramona Kay Hill, 40, of 2725 Forrest St., Rothbuy, one count of operating without insurance was dismissed May 20.
