College offering walk-in advising, registration.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP (Mason County) — Walk- in advising and registration for West Shore Community College’s winter semester classes that begin on Monday, Jan. 14, is open to both returning and new students.

The advising sessions are available from January 7 – 11, in the Student Services office in the Schoenherr Campus Center from 8 a.m.  to 5 p.m.

The sessions are designed for those who need to set up an academic plan, register for classes, make changes to class schedules, or complete financial aid forms.

This winter, WSCC is offering nearly 350 course sections at its main campus and the Manistee County Education Center near Manistee. Of those, many are offered in the evening. Several classes are also being offered in Hart and area high schools.

In addition, there are many online courses offered through Michigan Colleges Online. These courses allow students to do much of the coursework and lectures at home with limited visits to the campus for testing and labs.

All students seeking financial aid must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, also commonly referred to as FAFSA. Information about the FAFSA can be found at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Those with questions about the financial aid process can contact the Financial Aid office.

Students who attend another college or university other than WSCC may enroll in course work as guest students. Those wishing to enroll as a guest student must submit the MACRAO approvedMichigan Uniform Undergraduate Guest Application prior to registration.

Class and online course schedules can be viewed under the “Course search” tab on my.westshore.edu.

Those interested in registering for classes or who have questions about the application and enrollment process can also contact the Student Services Office at (231) 843-5510.

The winter semester class schedule is available online at www.westshore.edu.
