Whitehall man faces jail for felonious assault.

HART – A 29-year-old Whitehall man faces serving up to a year in jail after pleading guilty in 27th Circuit Court Monday, Dec. 17, to felonious assault.
A felony charge of felony firearm and a misdemeanor of domestic violence were dismissed against Joshua Steven Brock, of 5551 S. Shore Dr., when he pleaded to the felonious assault charge.
The weapon used in the assault was a shotgun, according to court records.
“He will serve no more than 12 months in the county jail,” said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. “This was a domestic situation and the victim did not want the suspect to be sent to prison.”
