78th District Court sentencings.

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Adam Jeffrey Ohs, 29, of 2517 Morton Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty Sept. 17 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Joseph Eugene Harter, IV, 35, of 209 S. Courtland St., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 17 of second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to four days in jail with credit for one day served and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

-Simon Gabriel Saldana, 26, of 6415 Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Sept, 17 of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served and $400 in fines and costs. Restitution left open for 60 days. One count of larceny by conversion was dismissed.

– Zechariah Miles Burel, 30, of 2325 S. 118th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Giovanny Alexis Valdez, 20, of 2660 W. Garfield Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 11 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Brian Kelly Smith, 29, of 371 W. Main St., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Tiffanie Nicole Miller, 25, of 3241 72nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Rodney Edgar Lewis, 49, of 1554 E. Cross St., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Jose Misseal Rodriguez, 20, of 3453 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 11 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Bradley James Miller, 29, of 11127 Creekside Ct., Allendale, was found guilty Sept. 12 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $215 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Regina Louise Starks, 53, of 4533 S. 144th Ave., Shelby, one count of fourth-degree child abuse was dismissed Sept. 11. “It is not in the interest of justice to move forward with this matter,” court records state.

– Steven Anthony Langlois, 44, of 4116 E. Buchanan Rd., Shelby, two counts of domestic violence were dismissed Sept. 11. “Victim informed the prosecutor that she is unwilling to cooperate with the prosecution of the defendant in the two above matters,” his court file states.
