CSC case against teen dismissed.

HART — The criminal case against an 18-year-old Mears man charged with a felony of third-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC) was dismissed in 78th District Court.

Cameron Lee Tanner, of 956 N. 34th Ave., was arrested by the Hart Police Department for third-degree CSC.

“New information was presented, which rendered the case unprosecutable,” said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. The prosecutor’s office would not have been able to prove the charge beyond a reasonable doubt, Bizon said.

Third-degree CSC is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
