Motorcycle crash, drug OD top police activity.

CLAYBANKS TOWNSHIP — A 59-year-old Kouts, Indiana man was injured in a motorcycle crash on Scenic Drive near West Stony Lake Road Friday, May 18, at 2:37 p.m., according to the Hart post of the Michigan State Police.
The man was transported by Oceana EMS to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
In an unrelated incident, a 25-year-old New Era man was transported by Oceana County EMS to Mercy Health Partners Lakeshore Campus in Shelby following a drug overdose in the 3500 block of West Stone Road in Benona Township Sunday, May 20, at 9:33 p.m.
White powder appearing to be cocaine and a brownish black substance appearing to be marijuana wax were turned over to the Michigan State Police crime lab, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast. The suspect has previously been saved from drug overdoses by local emergency and law enforcement personnel, he said.
