Congratulations to the Shelby High School Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Shelby Middle School Cadet Band for their outstanding performances Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the District One MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association) Band and Orchestra Festival. Shelby High School hosted one of the four-day events. Other performance schools included Big Rapids and McBain.

Both the high school and middle school bands successfully achieved Division One ratings during their MSBOA Festival performances. The band director, Curt Isakson, gave great thanks to all the parents and students for their hard work and dedication to the band program, as well as thanks for the hard work from Nancy Miller, assistant to the director for middle school bands.

The bands will now focus on their spring Performing Arts Festivals being held in April and May this year with dates to follow.
