OCSO cruiserSHELBY TOWNSHIP — A 2008 Chevrolet Impala was stolen from the parking lot of the Companion Animal Clinic on South Oceana Drive Tuesday, March 8, according to Lt. Craig Mast of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

The keys were left in the ignition, so a local repair shop could pick up the car to put new tires on it, Mast said. The vehicle’s owner noticed the car was stolen and contacted police at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The tan, four-door Impala is valued at approximately $8,000.

Deputies are following up on leads to find any witnesses to the crime, Mast said.

If anyone has information about the theft, they are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 231-873-2121.
