Pentwater PD assists in search for missing Illinois woman

missing womanPENTWATER — The Pentwater Police Department is assisting the Oak Park Police Department in the investigation of a missing 48-year-old Oak Park, Illinois woman.

Alicia Yaus was last seen Nov. 28, 2015 leaving her Oak Park residence driving a dark blue Volvo XC70 bearing Illinois registration “A234609.” She is 5’7” tall; weighs 130 pounds; and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black coat, black shirt, blue jeans and Ugg-brand shoes.

According to Pentwater Police Chief Laude Hartrum, Yaus’ family has a cottage in the Pentwater area.

Yaus has not returned home, leaving two teenage children unattended, according to the Oak Park police. “She has a history of alcohol and prescription pill abuse. Yaus suffers from depression, and her family believes she may have relapsed or may be possibly contemplating suicide.”
