Driver dies following crash

GRANT TWP. — Oceana County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a single car accident on West Webster Road near 64th Avenue Thursday, Oct. 8, at 5:50 a.m., according to a press release from the sheriff’s office issued shortly after 7 a.m.

“Deputies found the single occupant of the vehicle had been ejected and had suffered serious injuries,” the press release states. “The driver was transported from the scene by Oceana EMS, although we have just been notified he has passed away from his injuries he suffered in the accident. Deputies are still on scene, and the name will be released when family has been notified.”
