College to interview 10 presidential candidates.

VICTORY TWP. — The West Shore Community College presidential search committee will meet Wednesday and Thursday of this week to conduct interviews of the final 10 candidates. Initially there were 11 candidates but Dr. Russ Rothamer, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Coconino Community College, Arizona, withdrew.

The interviews, which will be conducted via video conference, are open to the public and will be held in the M.B. Thompson Room in the Administrative and Conference Building. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, April 8:

  • Dr. Ann Branchini, (Academic Dean/Chief Academic Officer, Three Rivers Community College, Connecticut) 10:50 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Dr. Kenneth Urban (Interim President, Nicolet Area Technical College, Wisconsin), 11:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Dr. Alan Punches, (Associate Dean, Ohio University Zanesville, Ohio) 1 to 1:40 p.m.
  • Dr. Stephen Nacco, (Vice President of Administrative Services, Union County College, New Jersey) 1:50 to 2:30 p.m.
  • Dr. Burton Webb (Vice President of Academic Affairs, Northwest Nazarene University, Idaho) 2:40 to 3:20 p.m.
  • Dr. Randell Daniels, (Vice President of Student Services and Information Services, Monroe County Community College, Michigan) 3:30 to 4:10 p.m.

Thursday, April 9:

  • Dr. Jason Woods (Executive Vice President for Student and Academic Services, Central Wyoming College, Wyoming), 9 to 9:40 a.m.
  • Robert Spohr, (Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs, Montcalm Community College, Michigan), 9:50 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Dr. Melissa Denardo, (Provost/Vice President of Learning and Student Services, Community College of Beaver County, Pennsylvania) 10:40 to 11:20 a.m.
  • Dr. Kathryn Mullins, (Executive Deputy to the Board and Board Liaison, Grand Rapids Community College, Michigan) 11:30 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.

The search committee is expected to break for lunch at 12:10 p.m. then reconvene at 12:40 p.m. when it will deliberate and select finalists.
