OCSO cruiserGREENWOOD TWP. — A larceny of a utility trailer from the David Allen Racing Motorsports lot was reported to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 6:30 p.m., stated Lt. Craig Mast of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office.

“Evidence may allude to the fact that (the theft) occurred Feb. 16 at 4 a.m.,” Mast said of the 2014 Shorelander valued at $2,000. The 6-by-12 foot black trailer is described as having a “partially-melted passenger fender with part of the plastic cut off and a full-down rear tailgate and a short rail on the front.”

The trailer is used for hauling snowmobiles, quads, lawnmowers and other related vehicles.

Anyone with information about the larceny is asked to call the sheriff’s department at (231) 873-2121.

The DAR facility, which is located near Fremont,  was totally destroyed in a fire last November, and the business has been rebuilt.
