HART — A 20-year-old Rothbury man who stole several items from a residence just three days before Christmas was sentenced to five months in jail Wednesday, Feb. 11, in 27th Circuit Court.

David Allen Wellington received credit for 52 days already served in the Oceana County Jail for a felony conviction of larceny from a building. Oceana County Prosecutor Joe Bizon said Wellington took several items from a home, including a video game system valued at $200 and miscellaneous items valued at over $100, Dec. 22.

In addition to five months forthwith, Judge Anthony Monton also ordered a nine-month discretionary jail sentence and $400 in fines and costs.
