HART TWP – Two motorcyclists were injured following a crash on Oceana Drive Sunday afternoon.

Loretta Jean Wilson, 44, of Comstock Park was traveling south on Oceana Drive at 2:58 p.m. near State Street when she hit a pothole and lost control of her 2006 Harley Davidson. Wilson’s motorcycle fell onto its side and slid a short distance.

Randy William Weller, 57, of Hesperia was traveling in a group of motorcycles with Wilson and was behind Wilson. Weller saw Wilson lose control of her motorcycle and tried to swerve to miss her, according to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office report. Weller lost control of his 2006 Harley, which also fell onto its side.

Weller was transported to the Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby for a broken leg and arm, said Lt. Craig Mast of the OCSD. Wilson, who suffered minor road rash, was not hospitalized, Mast said. Both were wearing helmets.
