As another school year draws to a close, Oceana County and the surrounding area will be saying goodbye to many of their graduating seniors. The 2013-14 graduating classes will be walking across the stages of many area gym stages, collecting diplomas and preparing for the next chapter in their lives.

See schedule below.

Hart High School will be honoring 81 graduates at its 2014 high school graduation this year. The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m., Friday, May 23 in the high school gym.

Pentwater High School will be honoring 21 senior graduates at this year’s graduation commencement. The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, May 23 in the high school gym. Superintendent and Principal, Mary Marshall stated that this year’s class will be greatly missed.

“This class is so enthusiastic about life. They have a great sense of fun and passion. They are pretty remarkable kids.”

Shelby High School will be holding its graduation at 7 p.m., Friday, May 30 in the gym. With about 78 seniors graduating, Principal Fran Schamber stated that this year’s class has been very close for many years.

“This is a smaller class,” she said. “They have been a smaller group all the way through, making them a very close knit group of kids. They are a really good group of friends.”

With high school careers coming to a close, this year’s graduating classes will have many memories to share in the years to come as they prepare for whatever is next in each of their lives. We celebrate the victories of all of this year’s seniors and wish them the best of luck on their journeys ahead.
