Koch elected to road commission, Gowell re-elected.

HART — Denis Koch of Hart was elected to the Oceana County Road Commission — ousting incumbent Allen Blohm of Shelby — and incumbent Lloyd Gowell of New Era was re-elected.

Koch tallied 2,191 votes; Gowell 2,091; and Blohm 1,878.

Challenger Jason LaFever of Hart lost the race with 1,285 total votes.
