New Era Farmer’s Market kicks off June 28.

NEW ERA — The New Era Farmer’s Market kicks off for the summer Tuesday, June 28.

With 29 vendors signed up, activities start at 4 p.m. with the Kids’ Bike Rodeo. “This year, we will give away up to 35 bike helmets with the generous donation from Trinity Health Injury Prevention,” said Market Manager Sandy Whitaker. “We will measure each child to make sure the helmet is a perfect fit for this year. There will be a bike clinic, obstacle course and a bike parade. At 5 p.m., we will draw for two bicycles and other bike safety prizes given by Oceana County Prescriptions for Health.”

The band Westwind will start at 5 p.m. featuring local favorites Mike Snell, Greg Bouse and Guy Clements. Dinner will be provided by The Artisan, Country Dairy and Pennant Pizza.

New Era Farmers Market is located east of Oceana Drive at 1820 Ray Ave. It is held the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 4-7 p.m. throughout the summer.
