Police activity in Oceana County over the weekend includes:

Friday, April 29, 2022:

  • 8:56 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 33-year-old Twin Lake man was picked up at the Muskegon County Jail on a failure to appear warrant and lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Saturday, April 30, 2022:

  • 1:38 a.m., (OCSO), a 20-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, South Division Street, Village of Hesperia.
  • 3:17 a.m., (OCSO), a 30-year-old Holton woman was arrested on a warrant, and a 27-year-old Holton man was cited for operating without a license, East Skeels Road near 184th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
  • 8:05 a.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, Rothbury rest area, northbound US 31, Grant Township. A disgruntled employee — a 37-year-old Muskegon Township man — allegedly used a permanent marker to damage mirrors in the men’s bathroom and dumped potpourri in the urinals. The case will be turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
  • 10:51 a.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, 5800 block of South 104th Avenue, Grant Township. A basement window was broken. The case was resolved. 
  • 9:10 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 62-year-old Grand Rapids woman was arrested for violating a personal protection order, 7000 block of 200th Avenue, Greenwood Township.

Sunday, May 1, 2022:

  • 7:20 p.m., (MSP), a 32-year-old Rothbury man was arrested on a failure to appear fugitive warrant and on charges of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and unlawful license plate, Walnut Street, Village of Shelby.
