78th District Court sentencings, Jan. 13, 2022.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

  • Tina Marie Gilles, 62, of 9276 66th Ave., Pentwater, was found guilty Jan. 3 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $980 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
  • Brandon Louis Hernandez-Valdez, 25, of 4190 Porter Ave., Lincoln Park, Michigan, was found guilty Jan. 4 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $250 in fines and costs. One count of operating an ORV on a right-of-way was dismissed.
  • Marshall Alex Anthony Masta, 21, of 8823 Harrison Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Jan. 4 of minor in possession of alcohol and was sentenced to 30 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $500 in fines and costs. One count of third-degree retail fraud was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.  
  • Dylan Lee Caudill, 24, of 127 Gibson Ave., Fremont, was found guilty Jan. 3 of improper license and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $120 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Jessyca Nicole Carpenter, 32, of 2258 N. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 37 days suspended jail with credit for 37 days served and a $75 fine. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Fernando Flores, 21, of 2615 E. Mesquite, Edingburg, Texas, was found guilty Jan. 5 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs.
  • Abel Said Vilchis-Mendoza, 21, of 619 S. State St., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 5 of allowing a person to drive violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
  • Uriel Lopez, 23, of 1997 Morrell St., Detroit, was found guilty Jan. 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of operating an ORV on a right-of-way was dismissed.
  • Logan Michael Nelson, 18, of 3020 S. 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty Jan. 10 of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; $275 in restitution; and $450 in fines, costs and restitution. 
  • Cesar Leon Aguilar, 20, of 5702 Okemos Tr., New Era, pleaded “no contest” Jan. 10 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served; $1,000 restitution; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of larceny $200-$1,000 was dismissed.
  • Bryce Chandler Fulford-Hasse, 23, of 9483 W. 12 Mile Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Jan. 10 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • John Russell Richter, 47, of 8591 Robinhood Dr., Montague, was found guilty Jan. 10 of possession open intoxicants — passenger and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs. One count of transporting open intoxicants — driver was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Koty Dewayne Watson, 31, of 380 W. Brogan Rd., Hastings, Michigan, pleaded “no contest” Jan. 10 to operating an ORV at an unreasonable speed and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail and $375 in fines and costs.
  • Michael Vernon Hood, 69, of 360 Third Ave., Pentwater, pleaded “no contest” Jan. 10 to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $425 in fines and costs. Charges of indecent exposure and breaking and entering — illegal entry were dismissed.
  • Alexis Rose Boissonneau, 25, of 7365 N. 128th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Jan. 12 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

  • William John Sarber II, (age not listed), of 23 160th Ave., Hesperia, one count of stray dog dismissed Jan. 7.
  • Karolyn Kay Buozis, (age not listed), of 520 E. Main St., Hart, one count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed Jan. 4.
