27th Circuit Court sentencings, posted Dec. 2, 2021.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 27th Circuit Court:

Garza

– Enrique Jesus Garza, 24, of 2320 W. Baseline Rd., Hart, was found guilty Sept. 20 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Nov. 29 to eight months in jail with credit for 202 days served; 18 months probation; and $398 in fines and costs. 

– Jason Darrel James, 41, of 580 W. Buchanan Rd., Shelby, was found guilty Sept. 27 of carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced Nov. 29 to one year in jail with credit for

80 days served; two years probation; and $398 in fines and costs. The 9 mm semi-automatic pistol must be forfeited to the Shelby Police Department. Charges of controlled substance possession and felony firearm were dismissed.

– Cody Boyd Scheel, 33, of 8875 W. 13 Mile Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Sept. 27 of carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced Nov. 29 to 150 days in jail with credit for

112 days served; two years probation; and $458 in fines and costs. The Ruger 9 mm pistol must be forfeited to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office. 

– John William Hubbard, 52, of 1223 2 Mile Rd., White Cloud, was found guilty Sept. 20 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Nov. 29 to 60 days in jail with credit for nine days served; 18 months probation; and $258 in fines and costs.

– Dominique Niccolas Hampton, 22, of 2684 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced Nov. 15 to 75 days in jail with credit for 39 days served; electronic monitoring upon release from jail; probation ordered July 26 remains in full effect; and $76 in fines and costs. Probation stems from convictions May 17, 2021 of carrying a concealed weapon and methamphetamine possession.
