Hart woman sentenced for break-in.

HART — A 38-year-old Hart woman was sentenced to 150 days in jail for a conviction of breaking and entering with intent in 27th Circuit Court Monday, Nov. 29.

Meredith Anne Cushman, of 13 E. Mechanic St., received credit for 115 days served in jail.

Cushman does not have a lengthy criminal record, although she recently committed “significant acts,” including methamphetamine possession and driving under the influence of meth, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.

She intends to turn her life around, said her attorney Timothy Hayes.

Sentencing guidelines in the case are 0-11 months.

Cushman was also ordered to two years probation by Judge Robert D. Springstead.
