Shelby man, 23, dies in crash.

The driver and three other passengers seriously injured.

HART TOWNSHIP — A 23-year-old Shelby man, who was a passenger in a vehicle, died when the vehicle hit a tree Sunday, Nov. 28, around 12:45 a.m. on West Taylor Road near North 72nd Avenue, according to the Michigan State Police.

The driver and three other passengers were seriously injured and were transported to an area hospital.  A total of five people were in the vehicle.

Troopers from the Hart post are investigating the deadly crash. MSP was assisted on scene by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, the Hart Area Fire Department and Life EMS. 

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to Spl/Lt. Michelle Robinson, public information officer.
