Man injures wrist in 3-vehicle crash.

GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash at Garfield Road and 200th Avenue Thursday, Sept. 16, shortly before 7:30 p.m.

A 2002 Ford F450 pickup truck driven by a 29-year-old Hesperia man was stopped at the stop sign facing north, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report, while a 2003 Mercedes Benz driven by a 44-year-old Ada man was eastbound on Garfield Road. A 2007 Dodge Ram driven by a 66-year-old Fremont man was westbound on Garfield Road, the report states. The Ram began making a left hand turn onto 200th Avenue. The Ram driver stated that the sun was bright and shining directly into his eyes, and he did not see the Mercedes traveling eastbound. When the Ram driver started to make his turn, the Mercedes began braking heavily and steering to the right. The Ram and the Mercedes collided which caused the Mercedes to collide with the driver’s side door of the Ford. The Mercedes driver was transported by Life EMS to Gerber Hospital in Fremont for an injury to his right wrist. The Ram driver had a slight cut to his forehead, which did not require treatment.
