Stephen Didur, 85, of Pentwater 

Stephen William Didur, 85, of Pentwater passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, May 1, 2021.  He was born March 2, 1936 in Detroit to John and Pauline (Ronchka) Didur. 

Stephen graduated from St. Catherine High School in 1955. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country from 1955 to 1957. He was honorably discharged and went to work for Chrysler Motor Company. He worked as an engineer until his retirement in 1996 after 30 years with the company. 

Stephen was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Weare Township and the American Legion Post 76. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, cooking and entertaining.

Stephen is survived by his children, George (Terry) Didur, Michael (Virginia) Didur, Lawrence (Brenda) Didur, and Kimberly Didur, his step sons, Jeff (Soandra) Hammons and Jay Hammons, his brother, John Didur, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Besides his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Berg.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is being planned for a later date.

Memorial contributions in Stephen’s name may be directed to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hart or Pentwater Fire Department.
