Two people hurt in two-vehicle crash.

PENTWATER — Two people were transported to Mercy Health – Lakeshore Campus in Shelby for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Monday, Feb. 1, shortly before 1 p.m. on South Hancock Street between Fifth and Sixth streets, according to Pentwater Police Chief Laude Hartrum.

“A 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a Twin Lake man made a left turn into the Pentwater Municipal Marina parking lot,” said Chief Hartrum. The pickup truck crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2014 Ford Escape containing three Pentwater residents.

“Both vehicles received major damage,” he said. “Two of the occupants of the Ford Escape were transported to Mercy Health – Lakeshore Campus with injuries. The driver of the was not injured.”

The Pentwater Police Department was assisted by the Pentwater Fire Department and Life Ambulance. The accident remains under investigation.
