ROTHBURY — It has been nearly one month since Electric Forest Festival attendee Kevin Graves, 28, of Oakland County was reported missing.

Two searches of the Double JJ Resort, the venue where the festival is held, have not led to his discovery. However, police investigating the case have received several calls of sightings of Graves, and authorities are following up on leads from those sightings.

A private, non-profit organization, Shiawasee Search and Rescue, is planning a third search for Graves Tuesday, July 31, according to its Facebook page.

“We will enter into day three of our dedicated search for Kevin Graves on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Due to volunteers in excess of 50 people, we have now covered the vast majority of Double JJ Resort (2,000 acres). We will now begin to expand into the surrounding

areas and increase our AO (area of operations). Thanks for all your help and possible clues…..SSAR Search Manager,” states a post Sunday evening on the Shiawasee Search and Rescue Facebook page.

The group conducted searches Monday, July 23, and Saturday, July 28.

Graves’ family is offering a $10,000 reward for his return.

According to the Facebook page, Help Us Find Kevin Graves, the family asks that if a person sees someone who they think might be Graves, they should take a photo and call 911 immediately. The Facebook post asks that they send the photo to the Help Us Find Kevin Graves page via a private message.

Sgt. David Bach of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Highland Township Outpost, said last week he has received several calls of sightings of Graves.

“A worker at a gentlemen’s club in Oregon said she had seen him there,” Bach said. “We’re working on getting the video.”

There was also a sighting of Graves in the Stony Lake area, Bach said.

“At this time, there have been multiple sightings of him,” the sergeant said. “We’ve had sightings over in Oregon but here in Michigan at the same time. We’re getting them from all over the place. We continue to follow up as much as we can.”

A call to Bach Monday, July 30, was not immediately returned, but OCP will follow up with any updates he provides.

The Hart post of the Michigan State Police is assisting with the case.

Family members have displayed “missing person” posters in the Muskegon and Rothbury areas. Graves had been at the festival with his girlfriend. The two had an argument and Kevin was supposedly going to return to his tent, July 1, but was not found there.

Kevin Graves has sandy blond hair and blue eyes and is about 6-feet tall and 185 pounds with a medium build. He has a USMC tattoo on his left shoulder.

Anyone with information about Graves’ whereabouts is asked to call the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office at (248) 858-4950, the Michigan State Police Hart Post (231) 873-2171, or Mason-Oceana 911 (231) 869-5858.
