ROTHBURY — Bikers from all over West Michigan and beyond will gather at the Double JJ Resort this weekend for the 30th Annual Sandy Corley Memorial Run.

The camping event offers an adult party atmosphere and includes concerts Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Events include a self-guided tour through West Michigan, fireworks and a HOG Auction.

Sandy Corley started the Fremont Chapter of the Harley Owners Group in 1986. He was the owner of Sandy’s Harley Davidson Sport Center and was a charter member and strong supporter of the small, but dedicated, group of riders in the area.

Sandy passed away June 29, 1989 from cancer. That fall, the first event took place in Sandy’s honor. The Sandy Corley Memorial Run was a tribute to Sandy by the members of the chapter and his family and friends. There was a ride, an auction and plenty of fellowship among the riders.

Proceeds from the first event and the following four went to the American Cancer Society in Sandy’s name. The event has continued to grow over the last 30 years. Each year, members of the Fremont Harley Owners Group come up with new ideas to raise more funds for cancer treatment.

All the funds now raised by the group go to the Johnson Family Center for Cancer Care. Over the last 30 years, more than $2 million has been donated in remembrance of Sandy Corley to aid in the treatment of cancer victims.

The band line-up this weekend is as follows:

Thursday, July 26:
Cosmic Knot
Southern Rock Super Stars (Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band)
Fran Cosmo (formerly of Boston)

Friday, July 27:
Big Cadillac
