Asparagus workers victims of car break-ins.

HART — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several larcenies from vehicles that belong to farm employees who are picking asparagus, stated Lt. Shane Hasty.

“While those employees are at the far end of the field, the suspect(s) approach the vehicles and go through their belongings, taking money. We are looking for a silver-colored minivan which could be a Pontiac Montana,” Hasty said.
