HART — Charges are pending following an alleged knife fight between a 23-year-old Hart man and a 24-year-old Shelby man at the intersection of State and Lincoln streets Thursday, Aug. 11, said Hart Police Chief Juan Salazar.

The Shelby man was treated at the scene by Oceana EMS for a cut to his hand, Salazar said. The two men got into an argument, and a fight ensued. Each one of the suspects allegedly pulled a knife, he said.

The police report has been submitted to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

  • 12:15 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 35-year-old Shelby woman was cited for operating without security/no insurance, Polk Road near 72nd Avenue.

  • 3 a.m., (MSP), domestic violence, under investigation, 1000 block of Sand Creek Trail, Otto Township.
  • 8:11 p.m., (MSP), larceny of a garden wagon, 200 block of East Union Street, Ferry Township.
  • 9:46 p.m., (MSP), one-car crash involving minor injuries, Madison Road and 156th Avenue, Crystal Township.

Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016:

  • 8:50 p.m., (HPD), breaking and entering/illegal entry of a vacant house, intruder(s) gained access through an unlocked door, 300 block of State Street.
