HART — The following is an updated report from Hart City Manager Stan Rickard regarding the Johnson/Water Street Project:

“Sanitary sewer replacement is complete and water main replacement is underway. Water main work between Water and Peach will finish up about (Thursday) July 9; and then will shift to the two-block section between Water and State; and conclude with final water connections in the Johnson and Water intersection about July 22.

“Water main pressure testing and chlorination and final water main and relocated sanitary sewer lateral connections should conclude by about July 31.

“Concurrent with the aforementioned work, city electric, Charter cable and Frontier telephone will perform relocations. DTE gas contractors have finished their improvements.

“This project also includes street lighting improvements to be constructed by a subcontractor to Hallack Contracting.

“Road construction should commence in early August with sub-base and grading followed by curbs, drive aprons and sidewalks. The Water Street (Johnson to Lincoln) road surface will be milled off sometime in early August in preparation for resurfacing.

“Please contact City Hall (873-2488) if you need assistance with traffic patterns, parking arrangements or trash removal. Finally, use extreme caution when using the road right-of-way and sidewalks to access your property. Conditions are very dangerous.

“Thanks again for your patience.”
