HART — Hallack Contracting mobilized early Monday, June 8, to mill and remove the old pavement, and suppliers delivered pipe to the Johnson/Water Street Project area for the water and sewer replacement phase scheduled through, July 28, states a report from Hart City Manager Stan Rickard.

“Note that for Tuesday, June 9, trash pickup: If you live mid-block on Johnson Street or Water Street you may need to place your blue cart and recycling box on side streets (Courtland, Water, Lincoln) so the hauler has access to them.

“We realize your traffic patterns have changed dramatically,” the report states. “Call city hall at 873-2488 if you think you may need overnight parking or other assistance during street closures. You will soon notice construction noise and probably dust, both very common with construction projects.

“The city’s on-site construction inspector is Eric Kastelic from Prein & Newhof of Muskegon. You may contact Eric at 231-571-7993 if you have questions about your sidewalk, driveway, water-sewer service lines or other construction-related activities. Project Manager Amy Malek, PE from Prein & Newhof, is also available to answer questions about the project at 231-798-0101, extension 1202.”
