Volunteers wanted at Silver Lake Sand Dunes – Hart Visitor Center

April 29, 2014

HART – Join the visitor center volunteer team this summer by volunteering to be a greeter for the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Area Chamber of Commerce.

Welcome guests and residents to our area from May 19 through Sept. 13 and assist with greeting over 4,000 people and their families. The visitor center is located at 2388 N. Comfort Dr., in Hart, next to Subway.

Those who sign up by May 12, will be included in all training opportunities.

As a volunteer, you will promote the Oceana area and its businesses; answer questions; meet and greet people; answer the phone; open and close the center; learn more about the area; and volunteer at events. Volunteers are needed for four-hour shifts once a week or as needed.

Last summer’s volunteers include: Dolores and Ed Bauer, Jim and Alice Cunningham, Annette Fetzer, Bob Hekkema, Mary Ann Hill, Steve and Ada Kantner, Andy and Linda Kator, Marge Gregg, Carol Powers, Betty Reeser, Carol Tompkins, Priscilla Trommator, Linda Stevens, Pat and Harvey Weaver, Bev Wood.
