Teen injured after being thrown from ATV.

CLAYBANKS TOWNSHIP — An 18-year-old Shelby man was transported to Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon after being thrown from a 2019 Polaris Sportsman ATV at 44th Avenue and Winston Road Sunday, Sept. 19, around 4 p.m.

The driver was south on 44th Avenue and approached the intersection at Winston Road. “Driver advised that due to dusty road conditions, he could not see the stop sign until it was too late,” an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report states. He activated the brakes on the ATV, lost control, and was thrown from it.
