Economic alliance hosts virtual community update Tuesday.

The Oceana County Economic Alliance is hosting a virtual community update via Zoom Tuesday, April 13, at 8 a.m.

The virtual offering is taking the place of its annual community breakfast which is traditionally a live event each spring, where community and business leaders can network and learn about recent economic development work, current trends, and future plans for county growth.

This year’s virtual event is sponsored by Consumers Energy, Hart-Silver Lake Sand Dunes Chamber of Commerce, and Shelby State Bank. It will feature an update on Peterson Farms’ recent $22 million expansion to its Hart Township fruit processing plant, as well as a panel discussion with small business owners who will share their experiences and lessons learned from doing business during the pandemic. Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions for presenters as well.

Those not registered to attend the online Zoom event can contact Jodi Nichols, Business Development Coordinator for Oceana County, at nicholsj@rightplace.org or 231-742-3328 for log-in details.
