78th District Court sentencings, Oct. 30, 2020.

HART — The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Bryan Lawrence Rhanor, 50, of 202 Dryden St., Hart, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 26 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 93 days suspended jail with credit for 36 days served and $250 in fines and costs.

– Willie Lee Allen, 62, of 1240 N. 198th Ave., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” Sept. 8 to domestic violence and was sentenced Oct. 26 to 93 days discretionary jail with credit for two days served; six months probation; must submit to testing, searches and counseling as directed by probation; no alcohol/drugs; no contact with the victim; and $985 in fines and costs.

– Charles Richard Ferrier, 34, of 4693 W. 4 Mile Rd., White Cloud, pleaded “no contest” Sept. 28 to stalking and was sentenced Oct. 26 to one year suspended jail with credit for three days served; six months probation; must submit to testing, searches and counseling as directed by probation; no alcohol/drugs; no contact with the victim; and $1,025 in fines and costs. One felony count of aggravated stalking was dismissed.

– Gregory James Melchor, 34, of 1908 N. 48th Ave., Mears, was found guilty Sept. 8 of operating while impaired and allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced Oct. 26 to 93 days suspended jail with credit for one day served for each count; outpatient treatment; and $1,390 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Logan Robert Heddon, 23, of 18505 Northland Dr., Big Rapids, was found guilty Oct. 28 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of unlawful license plates was dismissed.

– Kristian Quinonez, 17, of 2674 Blair Ave., New Era, was found guilty Oct. 28 of of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $340 in fines and costs. One count of improper license was dismissed.

– Kevin Paul Racicot, 36, of 510 Prestwick Ave., SE, Grand Rapids, was found guilty Oct. 28 of fishing without a license and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.

– Teresa Elaine Terbinski, 38, of 95 N. State St., Hesperia, was found guilty Oct. 28 of unlawful license plates and was sentenced to $245 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Roger Alan Wilcox, 62, of 3006 Phelps Lake Rd., Mayville, Michigan, was found guilty Oct. 28 of operating at an unreasonable speed and was sentenced to $325 in fines and costs. Case to be dismissed once all fines and costs are paid.

Dismissals

– Matthew Joseph Purcell, 32, of 4257 S. 68th Ave., Shelby; OCSO; one count larceny $200-$1,000 was dismissed, Oct. 23. “The defendant paid restitution in full,” court records state. “It is not in the interest of justice to go forward in this matter.”

– Dean Ray Poellet, 61, of 956 Riverview Court, Williamson, Michigan, one count of fishing without a license was dismissed, Oct. 21.

– Samantha Jo LaFever, 18, of 507 S. Griswold St., Hart, one count of assault and battery was dismissed, Oct. 26. “Defendant successfully completed 10-month deferral,” court records state.
