Mears man injured when car hits sign, fence, trees.

GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 66-year-old Mears man was transported by Life EMS to Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon Monday, July 27, at 3:15 p.m. after the 2020 Subaru Forester he was driving ran off the road, struck a speed limit sign, a split rail fence and several trees, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

The crash occurred on West Silver Lake Road near North 18th Avenue.

Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash, the report states, nor was the driver distracted. The man was wearing his seatbelt.
