Brewery closes after employee tests positive for COVID-19.

“We hope to reopen at some point in the near future for to-go food, beer and wine, and we will still be in operation as a production microbrewery, small wine maker and small distiller.”

HART — Big Hart Brewing Co. announced that it will be closed temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The business posted the following on Facebook Tuesday, July 14:

“On Sunday July 12, we were informed that an employee had tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was last in our building on Saturday, June 27, and the employee was told by the health department that she was not contagious at that time and that the health department was not concerned about exposure to any other Big Hart employees or customers.

“We have also made contact with the health department, and they have confirmed this information. Some of our employees did have contact with her outside of the building and are being tested, but we do not have the results at this time.

“With this information and having to operate at 50 percent capacity, we have decided to close to the public at this time to clean and re-imagine what Big Hart Brewing Co. will be going forward. We hope to reopen at some point in the near future for to-go food, beer and wine, and we will still be in operation as a production microbrewery, small wine maker and small distiller.

“Please stay tuned for updates and we would like to thank you all for your support. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Cheers,
Big Hart Brewing Co.”
