Several assaults over the weekend.

Local police responded to several assaults over the weekend. The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Thursday, May 14, 2020:

– 8:43 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 40-year-old Mears man was arrested for driving while license suspended (DWLS), South 192nd Avenue, Greenwood Township.

Friday, May 15, 2020:

– 12:49 a.m,. (Michigan State Police), a 28-year-old New Era man was arrested for domestic violence, Ray Avenue, Village of New Era.

– 4:14 p.m., (OCSO), assault involving three suspects, East Main Street, Village of Walkerville.

Saturday, May 16, 2020:

– 2:49 p.m., (OCSO), violation of a personal protection order, East Jefferson Road, Colfax Township.

– 4:52 p.m., (OCSO), damage to trees, West Stony Lake Road, Benona Township.

– 5:24 p.m., (MSP), a 27-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for domestic violence, Skeels Road near 180th Avnue, Greenwood Township. The assault occurred in a vehicle.

– 6:49 p.m., (OCSO), assault, West Village Road, Golden Township.

– 9:09 p.m., (MSP), possible malicious destruction of property, 700 block of Baker Road, Benona Township. A car window was damaged.

Sunday, May 17, 2020:

– 2:33 a.m., (OCSO), a 26-year-old Hart man was arrested for domestic assault, North 88th Avenue, Hart Township.

– 6:14 a.m., (OCSO), assault, Walnut Street, Village of Shelby.
