HART — To honor the Class of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hart High School is hosting a “Be the Light” event this Friday night, April 24, at the football stadium.

Stadium lights will go on at 8:20 p.m. and will remain on for 20 minutes.

“During this time, I will be ‘spinning records’ from the press box,” said Hart High School Principal Brandon Bruce. “Seniors are invited to drive up to the gates on the north end of the field using the service drive, and get out and have a turn to ‘ring the bell.’ This can only be done by individuals as we must continue to abide by and practice social distancing.”

There will be a pathway set up leading seniors to the bell as well as a 2020 display for photo opps.

Hart police officers will be on hand to direct traffic.

“I think it will be a lot of fun,” Bruce said. “We’re anxious for the opportunity to get together.”
