Felony theft charges top 78th District Court arraignments.

HART — The following were arraigned recently in 78th District Court:

Felonies

Mack

– David John Mack, 45, of 553 S. Maple Island Rd., Hesperia, was arrested by the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) for a felony of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. Bail: $10,000/cash/surety. Mack is also charged in a second case with a felony of stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent stemming from an OCSO arrest. Bail: $7,500/cash/surety/10 percent. In a third case, Mack faces a felony of larceny $1,000-$20,000 stemming from a Michigan State Police (MSP) arrest. Bail: $15,000/cash/surety. Preliminary exam: March 9 at 3 p.m.

– Richard Lattin, 29, of 166 Hoskins St., Hesperia, was arrested by MSP on felony charges of methamphetamine possession and

– Chris Mae Venne, 44, of 7748 W. 1 Mile Rd., Hesperia, was arrested by OCSO for a felony of embezzlement

– Benito Gonzalez, 43, of 52 Division Ave., Grand Rapids, was arrested by the Hart Police Department (HPD) for a felony of uttering and publishing. Bail:

– Paul Madison Phillips, 34, of 2116 W. Monroe Rd., Hart; Department of Natural Resources; cutting/removing/transporting forest products without a permit. Bail: $500/personal. Pretrial: March 17 at 9:45 a.m.
