Medical emergency causes US 31 crash.

HART TOWNSHIP – An 85-year-old Wyoming, Michigan woman was transported by Life EMS to Mercy Health Partners Hackley Campus in Muskegon Thursday, Oct. 10, around 2 p.m. after the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox she was driving went off the road on southbound US 31 near West Log Road; overturned; and crashed into trees, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

The crash occurred due to the driver suffering a medical emergency, the report stated.

A 79-year-old Byron Center woman and an 82-year-old Grandville woman were passengers in the vehicle and were not injured. The driver and both passengers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
