Man arrested after refusing to leave state park bathroom.

PENTWATER – A 42-year-old Lombard, Illinois man was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies Thursday, Sept. 5, shortly after 10 p.m. when he refused to leave the men’s bathroom at Charles Mears State Park, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The man was highly intoxicated and in possession of a fifth of Fireball liquor, Mast said. He was arrested on charges of disorderly person and trespassing.

Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019:

– 6:47 p.m., a suspect attempted to pass two $100 counterfeit bills at the Silver Pointe General Store in Golden Township. An older man driving a Subaru Outback with Illinois plates paid for his gas with a real $100 bill after attempting to use two different counterfeit $100 bills.

Friday, Sept. 6, 2019:

– 1:48 a.m., a 34-year-old Rothbury man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, possession of a firearm while under the influence and failure to report an accident, East Wilke Road, Otto Township.
