HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

– Ashleigh Nicole Stitt, 33, of 1977 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty Aug. 5 of narcotic/cocaine use and was sentenced Aug. 26 to 27 days in jail with credit for 27 days served; one year discretionary jail; six months probation; not to purchases/possess a firearm; must submit to testing, counseling and searches as directed by her probation officer; no alcohol/drugs; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted after 60 days; and $975 in fines and costs.

– Michael Ray Hale, 32, of 105 Woodlawn St., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 26 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). A second count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Herbert Jason Golnick III, 38, of 207 Crowley St., Scottville, was found guilty Aug. 26 of driving an unregistered vehicle and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

– Dustin Allen Himes, Jr., 35, of 4570 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, was found guilty June 3 of operating with the presence of drugs and was sentenced Aug. 26 to 93 days discretionary jail and $315 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– David Gerald Cernik, 64, of 19562 Downshire Dr., Brownstown, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 26 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; continue with counseling; and $1,105 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

– Teri Lynn Baldridge, 43, of 6884 N. 120th Ave., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 26 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail; and $125 in fines and costs. One count of disorderly person – drunk was dismissed.

– Anthony Ysidro Vasquez, 36, of 12 S. State St., Hart, pleaded “no contest” Aug. 27 to domestic violence and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; no contact with the victim; six months probation; and $725 in fines and costs.

– Jeremy Wade Vargo, 23, of 9077 W. 13 Mile Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Aug. 22 of improper plates and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail with credit for one day served and $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Elizabeth Mae Woodring, 53, of 6890 Holton Duck Lake Rd., Holton, was found guilty Aug. 22 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $365 in fines and costs. One count of operating without a license was dismissed.

– Sheila Marie Kuester, 58, of 14767 Shadow Wood Court, Grand Haven, was found guilty Aug. 22 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $290 in fines and costs. One count of violating a restricted license was dismissed.

– Carmen Eveyette Croff, 49, of 3222 E. Minke Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Aug. 22 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days suspended jail with credit for one day served and $355 in fines and costs. One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.

– Cristal Louise Lewis, 25, of 523 S. Water St., Hart, was found guilty Aug. 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without security was dismissed.

– Susan Matie Civis, 59, of 5650 S. Oceana Dr., New Era, was found guilty Aug. 21 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail with credit for one day served and $290 in fines and costs. One count of operating without security was dismissed.

– Ronald Lee Robertson, 36, of 282 Pine St., Shelby, was found guilty Aug. 22 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.

– Kyle James Stumbo, 20, of 1847 Rank Rd., Grass Lake, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 22 of malicious destruction of property and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs. Case to be dismissed in 90 days if not further problems, his court file states.

Dismissals

– Timothy Wayne Smith, 41, of 4101 S. Riverview Dr., Hesperia, one count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed Aug. 26.

– Stephen Jeffrey Szklany, 26, of 2116 Salisbury St., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct was dismissed Aug. 26. The case was dismissed because the victim was unable to travel from out of state to Oceana County for the preliminary exam, according to Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. “We filed a motion – which was denied – to allow testimony by teleconference. Without the victim being able to travel here, we could not proceed with the preliminary exam,” Bizon said.

– Karla Mendoza-Caal, (no date of birth or address listed), one count of fourth-degree child abuse was dismissed Aug. 22.

– Tyler Robert Pfeiffer, 23, of 9485 Chase Rd., Montague, one count of failure to use due care near an emergency vehicle was dismissed Aug. 27.

– Amanda Lynn Poston, 31, of 1731 McKinley St., Wyandotte, Michigan, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Aug. 27.

– Jeremy Wade Vargo, 23, of 9077 W. 13 Mile Rd., Walkerville, one count of failure to display a valid license was dismissed Aug. 22.

– Elizabeth Mae Woodring, 53, of 6890 Holton Duck Lake Rd., Holton, one count of marijuana possession was dismissed Aug. 22.

– Alexandra Ann Greiner, (no date of birth or address listed), one count of assault and battery was dismissed Aug. 23.

– Sylvia Josephine Chandler, (no date of birth or address listed), one count of no license was dismissed Aug. 23.

– Cameron Scott Golightly, (no date of birth or address listed), one count of illegal disposal of solid waste was dismissed Aug. 23.
