The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Friday, Aug. 9, 2019:

  • 10:28 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 22-year-old homeless man was arrested after allegedly stealing a purse from a vehicle, 4000 block of West Shelby Road, Shelby Township.
  • 10:30 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash, US 31 and Shelby Road, Shelby Township.

Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019:

  • 9:09 a.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, no injuries 34th Avenue and Taylor Road, Golden Township.
  • 7:23 p.m., (MSP), one-vehicle crash causing injuries, Maple Island and Five Mile roads, Newfield Township.
  • 10:35 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 55-year-old Jackson, Michigan woman was arrested for operating while under the influence of marijuana, Main Street near Griswold Street, City of Hart.

Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019:

  • 12:20 p.m., (MSP), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Michigan Avenue and Second street, Village of Shelby.
  • 2 p.m., (MSP), breaking and entering, 5000 block of 184th Avenue, Greenwood Township. Camping equipment was stolen.
  • 4:57 p.m., (MSP), sex offender registration violation, 300 block of West Main Street, City of Hart. The case is under investigation.
  • 8:40 p.m., (MSP), breaking and entering, 7000 block of East Adams Road, Colfax Township. The case is under investigation.
  • 9:40 p.m., (MSP0, car/deer crash, Garfield Road and 172nd Avenue, Greenwood Township.
